Zelda Takes Over Late Show
Late night television typically features a musical guest that has a few members, but The Late Show with Stephen Colbert went over the top on October 13, 2015 by bringing a full orchestra – with chorus – for a performance of The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses.
Promoting the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title, Tri Force Heroes, the symphony performed a short selection of music from the new game before launching into the symphony’s overture. The piece contains recognizable music selections and motifs from the nearly 30-year history of the franchise, such as the main theme and “Zelda’s Lullaby.”
You can watch the Late Show performance below, and more information about the touring symphony can be found at the Symphony of the Goddesses website. Dates are currently scheduled well into 2016 in both North America and Europe.
