X3 Gets Director

This week, Variety reported that the third X-Men installment has
finally found its Bryan Singer replacement in British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn.
The new director, whose most recent film, Layer Cake, will open in the
U.S. this spring, is slated to begin shooting X3 in early summer.

Though Hugh Jackman is the only star locked into a role reprisal, most of
the previous stars are expected to return. Fox is currently in negotiations with
Halle Berry (bummer!), Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.
