CGC’s President and Primary Grader Steve Borock will be hosting a dinner
for CGC forum members during Wizard World Chicago. The CGC forum dinners have
become “the” social event at most major conventions where hobbyists gather to
discuss issues of collecting, reading, and just to enjoy a good time out with
fellow collectors and dealers. Among the many participants at the dinners are
typically comic retailers, collectors, industry professionals, and more.

The last CGC Forum dinner that was held in San Diego was a once in a
lifetime event as attendees were able to share dinner and conversation with
famed collector Lamont Larson and his family. The name Lamont Larson is best
known in the comic collecting circles for his childhood comic book collection
that is considered one of the top Golden Age pedigree collections in comic
collecting history.

Attending the dinner will be CGC’s President and
Primary Grader Steve Borock, CGC’S New Director of Marketing Scott Shecter,
Gemstone Publishing’s Tom Gordon III, Rich Koslowski writer and artist of 3
Geeks
comics, The King and Three Fingers graphic novels from
Top Shelf, Comic Historian Michelle
Nolan, Convention Promoter Steve Wyatt, Tommy Maletta of Best Comics, Dan
Cusimano of Flying Donut Comics, Matt Nelson of Classics Incorporated, Hobbyist
and Founder of The Chicago Pedigree Joe Sarno, Former Owner of The Chicago Con
and Hobbyist Gary Colabuono, CGC’s Receiving Manager Scott Talmadge, and CGC’S
Customer Service Representative Eric Downton. Among CGC Forum regulars are Alan
Flenard, Dan Drummond, Anne Martinez, Sid Anschell, and approximately 30
additional Forum members.

“It’s going to be hard to beat the San Diego
Dinner, but I say that about every dinner and every time I’m wrong! Of course,
that’s not a bad thing”. CGC’s Primary Grader Steve Borock remarked, “It is
always a great evening because we all know it’s about the comic books, original
art, and our passion for them. At the end of the day, it’s all about having fun
with good people”.
