The latest jumbo digest starts with a tale about Wilbur and his delicious homemade popcorn. Archie, Reggie, and Dilton fall for the new lifeguard, and then when Archie gives Betty a trinket at a carnival, rumors fly about the nature of the gift. That Wilkin Boy deals with a very grumpy neighbor, and Mr. Weatherbee goes on a fishing trip. 

Archie learns that getting his wish isn’t always a good thing, and then he gets stuck with yardwork when he wants to go to the beach. Jughead and Chuck help Archie through romantic foibles with his favorite girls, and Jughead calms everyone’s tempers when the hot sun cooks their brains. The issue also features the classic “Frisbee Fracas” story by Frank Doyle and Harry Lucey. 

Once again, the Archie Comics team has delivered a great jumbo digest, packed with 188 pages of content. This one harkens back to the fun of being a teenager in the summer as the gang enjoys days at the beach, parties in the sun, carnivals, and wasting time at the favorite diner.
