A new super soldier program is beginning in Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #1. The series written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Luca Maresca starts in February 2026 and will lead into Marvel’s next summer event.

Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon begins when someone from Logan’s past asks for his help in finding mutants that have been abducted. As Wolverine faces the trauma he experienced in the Weapon X program, he becomes entrenched in a situation that will have implications throughout the Marvel universe.

“The preview for Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #1 opens with a mysterious figure running with wolves in the winter wilderness,” per Marvel’s description. “Elsewhere, Logan and his ally find a secret facility belonging to Primewarrior, the latest corporation attempting to create super-soldiers. After stealing hazmat suits to sneak into a labyrinth of tunnels and labs, they uncover the twisted experiments being conducted within these classified walls. Echoing his past, these cruel tests remind Logan of the Weapon X program that turned him into a killing machine. Enraged, Wolverine suits up and slashes his way into action!”

Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #1 has a main cover by Leinil Francis Yu and will be in comic shops on February 18.
