Wizard’s Big Apple Comic Con is set for Friday – Sunday, October 16-18, 2009 at Pier 94 in New York City (711 12th Ave at 55th Street).

Show hours are Friday, October 16, 2009 – 12 PM – 8 PM (with night events running 9 PM – 12 AM), Saturday, October 17, 2009 – 10 AM – 7 PM (with night events running 8 PM – 12 AM), and Sunday, October 18, 2009 – 10 AM – 5 PM.
Joe Kubert, comic industry legend will attend Big Apple Comic-Con along with his sons Andy and Adam. This rare combined appearance by the Kuberts includes a lesson straight from The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, Inc. instructors.

Marvel’s Joe Quesada and DC’s Jim Lee also headline the extensive list of comic creator guests including Neal Adams, Jim Steranko, Jim Cheung, Mike Allred, Adam Hughes, Mike Choi, Greg Horn, J.G. Jones, David Mack, Alex Maleev, Mike McKone, Jerry Robinson, Alex Saviuk, and many others.

Star Trek’s original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, will make a rare convention appearance (and we admittedly are wondering if he’ll recreate his “Get a life!” speech from Saturday Night Live), joining Nichelle Nichols, the show’s original Lt. Uhura.

TV’s original Batman, Adam West, and Spider-Man’s Green Goblin, Willem Dafoe, are also on the bill.

From the world of X-Men movies come Kelly Hu (Deathstrike), Taylor Kitsch (Gambit) and Cameron Bright (Leech).

Baseball greats Yogi Bera and Dwight Gooden will also be on hand, and there will be numerous other celebrities attending as well.
