Wizard Chicago: Metropolis and ComicConnect
Metropolis Collectibles and ComicConnect will be setting up at Wizard World Chicago, August 21-24, 2014 at booth #427.
“We look forward to visiting the ‘Jewel of the Midwest’ every year,” said Frank Cwiklik, Director of Sales. “We enjoy sharing a love of comics and pop culture with tens of thousands of fans in the intimate comic book village that pops up every August at the Stephens Convention Center!”
ComicConnect will be writing cash advance checks all week for comic book and original art consignments.
“We’re flush with cash for advances or even outright purchases,” said Rob Reynolds, Director of Consignments. “E-mail me at support@comicconnect.com or call toll free (888) 779-7377 to make an appointment for the show as we will be swamped.”
Metropolis will be bringing thousands of hard to find Gold, Silver and Bronze Age comics.
“If you would like us to bring specific books for you, please contact us immediately at (800) 229-6387 or email me at orders@metropoliscomics.com and we will get the books ready for the show,” Cwiklik said.
“Chicago, the Paris on the Prairie, is one of our very favorite cities to visit,” said Vincent Zurzolo, Chief Operating Officer. “We are at our best when we get out of New York, travel the country, meet clients new or old, and, of course, buy and sell comics.”
Auction lots from the current ComicConnect Event Auction XXIV will be on display for perusal by potential bidders. Comics like Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 9.2, Archie Comics #1 CGC 8.0, Bob Kane’s personal copies of Batman #1 and Detective Comics #27, Superman #1 CGC 1.8, Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 7.5 and many more will be on-hand for inspection. Folks in the City by the Lake can pop in, take a gander at our current auction selections and leave with a check in hand for their consignments.
“Metropolis will spend thousands and thousands of dollars at the show so whether you have one comic or 1,000, stop by for an offer,” Zurzolo said. “We look forward to seeing you at the Con!”
