Wednesday Addams is finally coming back to torment her classmates and thwart her foes. Netflix released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday and something kooky is already happening at school.

Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is heading back to Nevermore Academy for another dark and twisted school year. As she handles family, friends, and enemies with her signature brand of deadpan humor, Wednesday will find herself in another supernatural mystery.

The teaser trailer starts with Wednesday going through airport security where she discards brass knuckles, a stun gun, and a bevy of sharp objects onto the counter. Cut to the Addams family returning to Nevermore where Wednesday’s effervescent roommate Enid (Emma Myers) is already excited for a new semester. The supernatural and strange follows, as Wednesday is caught in a bright pink cloud in the woods and is then seen tied to a chair at a table where her company is a bunch of creepy dolls.

Wednesday gives Enid one of the dolls, we see Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán) dancing, and there’s a shot of new series regular Steve Buscemi. As the trailer shows several other characters from season one, Morticia warns, “Every family has dark secrets, Wednesday. And secrets can have deadly consequences.” To which Wednesday responds, “You don’t need to worry about me, Mother. I do my best work in the dark.”

Wednesday creator/showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are back for the second season, as is executive producer and director Tim Burton.

Season one stars Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Victor Dorobantu, Isaac Ordonez, Fred Armisen, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer are all back. The show has lined up several famous guest stars, including Lady Gaga, Billie Piper, Thandie Newton, Haley Joel Osment, Frances O’Connor, and Joonas Suotamo. Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in the 1990s Addams Family movies, will also appear in the show.

Season two is split into two parts with each containing four episodes. The first part arrives on Netflix on August 6, 2025, followed by the second part on September 3.
