Wednesday Returns to Nevermore in Season 2 Trailer
Wednesday Addams is about to face something new and horrifying: popularity. Netflix dropped the full-length trailer for Wednesday season two previewing the unexpected appreciation she will face for saving Nevermore Academy.
The Addams family arrives at Nevermore at the start of the new semester, where Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) is quickly greeted by the new principal (Steve Buscemi) and a gaggle of girls that want her autograph. After scenes that tease the magic of the school, Wednesday has an unsettling vision (complete with black tears) that prophesizes the death of Enid (Emma Myers) and that it will be Wednesday’s fault.
When Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) learns of the vision, she promises not to let history repeat itself, setting up another young Morticia and Gomez (Luis Guzmán) story from when they were students at Nevermore. As Wednesday looks for ways to save her friend, the trailer introduces Grandmama (Joanna Lumley), and shows some of the monsters that they’ll face, including Tyler/Hyde (Hunter Doohan) and zombies.
Stars returning for season two include Joy Sunday, Victor Dorobantu, Isaac Ordonez, Fred Armisen, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer. The show has lined up several famous guest stars, including Lady Gaga, Billie Piper, Thandie Newton, Haley Joel Osment, Frances O’Connor, and Joonas Suotamo. Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in the 1990s Addams Family movies, will also appear in the show.
Wednesday creator/showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are back for season two, as is executive producer and director Tim Burton.
Season two is split into two parts with each containing four episodes. The first part arrives on Netflix on August 6, 2025, followed by the second part on September 3.
