Ocean, the sci-fi/horror thriller written by Warren Ellis (The Authority) and illustrated by Chris Sprouse (Black Panther) is heading back to print. All six issues are collected for the first time in years in a new trade paperback edition published by Image Comics. The cult hit will be in stores in the fall of 2026.

“In Ocean, Jupiter’s moon Europa is wrapped in a half-mile-thick mantle of ice, and beneath it is the only off-world ocean known to humanity. A tiny research station in orbit around Europa discovers something unsettling laying dormant beneath the ice – something that sends U.N. weapons inspector Nathan Kane to Europa to make an assessment. Thousands of coffins are suspended in the Europan ocean, and Kane and the researchers aren’t the only people in orbit who want to know what’s inside them,” according to the description.

Image Comics described Ocean as “a provocative, standalone graphic novel” and compared it to movies like Arrival and Annihilation. The new edition of the graphic novel will be in comic book stores on October 28.
