In 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the game in which players take care of and develop a desert island became a big hit. To commemorate the Nintendo Switch game’s impact, the National Videogame Museum (NVM) is seeking stories from players.

Animal Crossing: New Horizon was released on March 20, 2020, when lockdowns started happening around the world. Gamers, regular and casual players, got into the game to build their own island paradise. For the Animal Crossing Diaries project, the NVM will record stories about how the players have interacted during COVID-19.

For the entries, they are looking for stories about playing the game, video tours of the player’s island, videos about gamers’ experiences, audio files of player interactions, personally-made fan artwork, and more.
