Venom Sequel Title, Release Date Announced
In 2018, Venom was a breakout hit, which quickly led to greenlighting a sequel. Now, Sony has provided the title for the film and its updated release date.
The new movie will be called Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Tom Hardy is returning as journalist Eddie Brock who also hosts the extraterrestrial parasite. He’ll face the serial killer Cletus Kasady as Carnage, played by Woody Harrelson.
Audiences will have to wait longer than expected to see Venom and Carnage do battle, but not too long. Sony has moved the movie from October 2, 2020 to June 25, 2021.
Andy Serkis is directing the film, which sees Michelle Williams returning as Eddie’s former fiancée Anne and Naomie Harris joining the sequel as sonic supervillain Shriek.
