Vampirella vs. NYC Serial Killer in Halloween Special
Vampirella is set for a spooky showdown this fall in the oversized special Vampirella Halloween Horror. The vampire hero will face a serial killer in New York City, in a story by writer Liam Johnson (Judge Dredd) and new artist Jordan Michael Johnson.
“Something sinister is stalking the streets of New York City, and encroaching on the Daughter of Drakulon’s turf. Vampirella learns of a paranormal serial killer targeting the vulnerable young in her adopted city,” per the synopsis. “With a target in sight, she starts her own hunt to determine the killer’s true identity and put an end to their spree. Along the way Vampi will wrestle with a question that has shadowed her entire life: when does a gift become a curse? Does she share more in common with this faceless, violent threat than she thinks, or will her heroic nature prevail?”
Vampirella Halloween Horror will feature four covers, including art covers provided by Greg Land and Celina, and a cosplay cover with Joanie Brosas. Buzz, who drew Vampirella’s comics in the mid-1990s, provides the fourth cover as an homage to her very first cover by Frank Frazetta.
