Vampirella has been through a lot on her adventures, and now she is ascending into Paradise – but it might not be what she expected.

Tom Sniegoski, who has been writing comics about the Daughter of Drakulon for over 30 years, is penning the Vampirella Paradise comic. He is reuniting with artist Edu Menna for this next chapter, building on the story they crafted together in Vampirella Armageddon.

The new arc follows the events in Armageddon that ended with God sending Vampi to paradise after she descended into Hell to stop a war. Unfortunately, the dreamlike gift doesn’t turn out to be what she expected and some of her regular foes are ready to ruin experience. The Mad God of Chaos and the Blood Red Queen of hearts are corrupting the new world and Vampi is the only one who can stop the spreading darkness.

“It always amazes me how much Vampirella I’ve written,” Sniegoski said. “She’s been part of my professional writing career for basically as long as I’ve had a professional writing career! I don’t think I ever really expected to have the kind of relationship that I have with her. Initially, way back when in the ‘90s, I thought I would write her for a bit, and move on, but the more I wrote her, her world, and the many characters that she interacts with, I found a nearly never-ending source of material. Just when I think I might be done, she pokes me in the brain and says, ‘what if we did this?’ I love the opportunity to come up with new stories to tell about her that continue to excite me, and hopefully excite the fans of the character. I know I’ve said this before, but writing Vampirella brings me great comfort. It’s like slipping into a nice warm sweater on a really cold day.”

Vampirella Paradise will feature covers by Francesco Mattina, Joseph Michael Linsner, and Josephine Tomarchio, there’s a photo cover of cosplayer Lauren Delorean and a blind bag option with rare covers.
