Valiant and CGC are working together on a first of its kind variant cover collaboration with the Valiant x CGC Replica Variant Series. Starting in January, then following on a monthly basis, Valiant’s big releases will be in stores featuring a printed reproduction of CGC’s trademark grading cases on their covers. The characters on the covers will address the audience and their status as CGC “graded” books.

The series will begin with Faith #1, the opening chapter of “Stormbreak” in Imperium #13, and the debut of Archer & Armstrong’s new ongoing series A&A #1. Each CGC “slabbed” cover in the Valiant x CGC Replica Variant line features art from Valiant’s superstar Clayton Henry (Archer & Armstrong, Incredible Hercules).

Note, the Valiant x CGC Replica Variant comics will be available to retailers in unlimited quantities and come with their standard retail prices. The comics are not actually graded or encased in plastic, therefore the grade on the cover does not reflect the actual condition of the books.
