Valiant Entertainment has established new foreign language partnerships with three European publishers. Spain’s Aleta Ediciones, Italy’s Star Comics, and France’s Bliss Comics will provide print and digital translations of Valiant’s titles.

Valiant and Aleta began their Spanish-language offerings earlier in 2015. Soon they’ll begin the long-term extension of their partnership, expanding the array of series they offer from Valiant’s titles. The new deals with Italy and France will begin in early 2016 with editions of their bestselling series, such as X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Harbinger, Archer & Armstrong, Divinity, Quantum and Woody, and more.

Each of the Spanish, Italian, and French publishers will also host appearances and promotions at large conventions throughout Europe.

Each of these publishers has been specifically selected for the quality of their foreign-language editions and their extensive knowledge of their respective marketplaces,” said Russell A. Aleta Ediciones has been publishing ten of Valiant’s notable titles, including Archer & Armstrong, Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior, and Harbinger. Based in Valencia, Spain, Aleta has been an award winning publisher of comics, graphic novels, and trade paperbacks since 1996. They are celebrated for their diverse licensed and independent titles of successful and popular titles, like Invincible, Tex, Dylan Dog, Aliens, Predator, Terminator, Robocop, and Xenozoic.

Star Comics is a leading Italian publisher, founded in 1987 by Giovanni Bovini in Perugia. Their mission is to encourage reading comic books and connecting to the cultural phenomenon by making them available to any interested readers in Italy. Star Comics first publications were translations of Marvel’s Spider-Man, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. Since then, Star comics has produced foreign-language editions of titles from DC, Image, and Wildstorm, along with Japanese manga.

Bliss Comics is relatively new to publishing. They are planning to bring Valiant’s fan-favorite series to French readers in 2016. The new company is excited to bring Valiant’s strong, diverse characters, and epic stories to their readers.
