Sirens of the City is a new urban fantasy by writer Joanne Starer (Painkiller Jane), artist Khary Randolph (Excellence), and letterer AndWorld Design. BOOM! Studios is giving a first look at the oversized debut of the six-issue comic, which arrives in July 2023.

“New York City. 1980s. Runaway teen Layla struggles to survive the mean streets, far from home. Meanwhile, every supernatural creature – from sirens to incubi – descend upon the city…all in vying for control of Layla and the pregnancy she never wanted,” the synopsis states.

Sirens of the City #1 features covers by Randolph, Jenny Frison (Wonder Woman), Lee Garbett (Firefly), David Mack (Kabuki), and Skottie Young (I Hate Fairyland).

The first issue debuts on July 12.
