Both IMAX and traditional movie houses will see Tron Legacy open December 17, 2010.

Variety has reported Disney will release the 3-D film in traditional theaters using Disney Digital 3D. 

Tron Legacy is the first film under Disney’s five-picture deal IMAX. It is a sequel to the 1982 feature film Tron.
