The Thunderbolts, aka the New Avengers are fighting their way into living rooms everywhere. The movie is now available on digital platforms like Amazing Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. Then, the movie will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 29, 2025.

Thunderbolts* follows a group of antiheroes, former villains, screwups, and misfits who come together to stop a terrible threat from wiping out humanity. The team is made up of characters introduced in other MCU movies and shows, including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ava Starr/Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), and Antonia Drekykov/Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko).

After trying to kill each other, the group come together when Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) tries to turn Robert Reynolds (Lewis Pullman) into her own superhero, Sentry, with the unexpected consequence of creating the Void. Not only does the Jake Schreier-directed film cover the big budget action of a superhero movie, it also explores the effects of mental illness.

The 4K Ultra HD is available in the regular edition and the limited edition SteelBook with custom art and packaging. There’s also a Walmart exclusive Blu-ray with pop-up packaging featuring the characters ready to take on the bad guys – or each other.

Special features include deleted scenes, a gag reel, and director’s commentary, plus several featurettes. In “Assembling a Team to Remember,” the cast and crew talk about how the team came together. “Around the World and Back Again” will explore the locations and production design seen in the movie. “All About Bob, Sentry & The Void” digs into the making of the three distinct characters portrayed by Pullman.
