Three eMoviePoster Auctions Bring in $275K

In late August to early September 2022, eMoviePoster hosted three auctions of everything from pressbooks to one-sheets to bulk lots, bringing in a total of $275,349.

The Tuesday, August 30 auction of 1,949 folded US and international posters, pressbooks, signed repro photos, lobby cards, stills, and more realized $128,363. Three surprising results were a Stranded lobby card for $1,005, Gold German window card for $902, and Forbidden Planet 10 color 8” x 10” stills for $802.

The Thursday, September 1 auction of 1,430 one-sheets, international examples, special posters, and Mondo prints hammered for $87,277. Some of the top results were a Lebanese Star Wars poster for $1,451, Neon Demon advance one-sheet for $1,300, and Bad Day At Black Rock 40” x 60” for $1,185.

The Sunday, September 4 auction of 1,000 bulk lots containing 25,454 items closed at $59,709. Some of the sales highlights were a lot of 5 folded French one-panels (1950s-1960s) for $575, 150 folded one-sheets (1940s-1980s) for $525, and 105 folded one-sheets (1950s-1990s) for $460.

The final deadline to consign to eMoviePoster’s 23rd Annual Halloween Auction is September 12, and they are already accepting consignments for their December Major Auction.
