This Weekend: Texas Frightmare Weekend
This weekend Dallas will play host to the Texas Frightmare Weekend, a three-day fan-fest scheduled to take place on May 2-4, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency at the Dallas – Ft. Worth International Airport.
As part of their 30th anniversary tribute to the Terminator films they will be playing host to an impressive list of stars from that franchise. Linda Hamilton, Robert Patrick, Kristanna Loken, Michael Biehn and Thomas Dekker, as well as other cast members and stunt crew, are all scheduled to appear.
The weekend will also feature a 60th anniversary tribute to the classic film The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Scoop favorite Julie Adams, star of the film as well as dozens of others and over one hundred TV shows, will be appearing as part of the tribute. Adams has detailed her film and television career as well as her costars in her new biography, The Lucky Southern Star.
Appearing alongside Adams will be stuntman Ricou Browning who played the Gill Man in the original Creature film as well as several other features in the series.
Working with the magazine Fangoria, the Frightmare will also include Guests of Honor George Romero, Linda Blair and Tobin Bell. Another scheduled celebration will be the Cenobyte Reunion of Hellraiser stars featuring Doug Bradley, Nicholas Vince and Barbie Wilde.
