The latest edition of the popular eMoviePoster.com themed auctions known as “The World of Movie Posters!” is underway once again and the Tuesday-closing session featured 800 non-U.S. posters from 25 different countries (including 235 Polish posters!).

Among the notable offerings are a signed and numbered, Polish 27” x 38” 1990s poster for Blake Edwards’ Breakfast At Tiffany’s (signed by artist Michal Ksiazek), a German teaser for Lee H. Katzin’s Le Mans (Steve McQueen), set of 12 Italian 13” x 18” photobustas for Vittorio De Sica’s The Bicycle Thief, a French 23” x 32” poster for William Wyler’s The Letter (Bette Davis), an Australian daybill for Robert Stevenson’s Joan Of Paris (Michele Morgan and Paul Henreid), an Australian daybill for Howard Hughes’ One Minute To Zero (Robert Mitchum and Ann Blyth), a Polish 23”x 33” poster for Luchino Visconti’s Bellissima (Anna Magnani), and an Italian photobusta for Roger Vadim’s Barbarella (Jane Fonda).

Additional noteworthy posters up for bid include an East German 23” x 32” poster for Knife In The Water, a Czech 23” x 33” poster for Walt Disney’s That Darn Cat (Hayley Mills), a Danish Tales Of Hoffmann (Moira Shearer), a Czech 23” x 33” poster for Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom (art by Pecak), a Polish 23” x 33” poster for The Pickpocket, and a stock Australian daybill for RKO Presents (featuring cool artwork of the RKO tower and globe).

The previous Tuesday-closing sessions saw the one-sheet for Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! style B sell for $907, the advance one-sheet for The Godfather Part II close at $360, and the rare, recalled style A teaser for The Omen realize $272.

“We would like Scoop readers to know that all of the 110,000+ items we auction each year come to us from collectors and dealers all over the world, but because we auction at such a rapid pace, we always are in need of new consignments, especially right now, because we have auctioned most of what we have on hand! We have another special ‘all signed’ auction that begins February 5. Go to our Consign Page to learn about consigning to us and what makes us so different from all our competitors,” said eMoviePoster.com’s Bruce Hershenson.
