That was more than enough to give it first place Friday – Sunday (or any other group of days recently, for that matter).

The Blind Side opened in second place with $34,119,372, the disaster epic 2012 came in third with $26,410,206, Planet 51 landed in fourth place with $12,268,129, and A Christmas Carol rounded out the top five with $12,275,024.
