The Terminator #8
Dynamite; $4.99
The Terminator comic has seen the killer machines travel back to many significant moments in US and world history. One was sent to the Vietnam War, one infiltrated a Russian submarine in 1961, and another made its way into space on the first Apollo mission that same year. Most recently, a Terminator traveled to a concentration camp in World War II.
The threads of these seemingly disaparate missions weave together in Terminator #8. This issue reveals the details of Operation Family Tree and its goal of going back in time to prevent Major Harper Duggan from becoming a an important figure in the human resistance.
This issue written by Declan Shalvey and illustrated by Colin Craker is a recap of the previous seven issues with the context that ties them all together. It’s presented from the perspective of Terminators, showing the analysis and calculations that rule their artificial thought processes. As the Terminators determine how to proceed with their goals, we see some key moments from the series as well as intimidating closeups of the endoskeleton monsters getting ready for their next missions.
