The Goon deluxe hardcover editions originally produced by Dark Horse Books and Albatross Books are returning to print. It starts with The Goon Library Edition Volume 1 (Second Edition) that is scheduled for release in the spring of 2027.

The Goon is a crime comic with comedy, horror, and science fiction, in which the titular hero faced typical criminals like mobsters and gangsters, as well as zombies, ghosts, aliens, and robots. The book began in March 1999 and ran for 54 issues, including multiple limited series and one-shots. All five volumes in the collection are written and illustrated by creator Eric Powell.

The first library edition collects The Goon Volumes 0-3. The description states, “The Nameless Man, the Zombie Priest, has come to town to build a gang from the undead. Yet even with an unlimited supply of soldiers, the Priest cannot move in on the territory controlled by the crime boss Labrazio and his unstoppable enforcer – the Goon. But when the Priest discovers the Goon’s most closely held secret, the balance of power threatens to change forever!”

The Goon Library Edition Volume 1 is filled with 496 pages in a 7” x 10” format. The hardcover book will be in comic shops on March 2, 2027, then The Goon Library Edition Volumes 2-5 (Second Edition) will follow in 2027 and 2028.
