Netflix has released a tension filled teaser trailer for Squid Game season three. Set directly after the cliffhanger that ended season two, the teaser starts in the aftermath of the failed attempt to overthrow the guards and take control of the facility.

Seong Gi-hun/Player 456 (Lee Jung-jae) is brought into the sleeping quarters in a coffin shaped box with a pink bow on top. We learn that an upcoming game has something to do with blue and pink balls, with mother Geum-ja/Player 149 (Kang Ae-sim) and son Yong-sik/Player 007 (Yang Dong-geun) shown with opposite colors, suggesting that they won’t be on the same team.

The high rollers have arrived as seen through a creepy masked dinner, Gi-hun is shown handcuffed to one of the bunk bed posts, and it appears that there could be a hand to hand fighting competition. Hwang Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon) is still trying to find his way back to the island to rescue Gi-hun and stop his brother, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun). The teaser does not feature any dialogue; however, it ends with the sound of a baby crying, suggesting that Jun-hee/Player 222 (Jo Yuri) will have her child during the Squid Game.

The season three cast is rounded out by Yim Si-wan as Myung-gi/Player 333, Kang Ha-neul as Dae-ho/Player 388, Park Sung-hoon as Hyun-ju/Player 120, Lee David as Min-su/Player 125, Roh Jae-won as Nam-gyu/Player 124, and Park Gyu-young as No-eul.

Squid Game’s six-episode third season will start streaming on Netflix on June 27, 2025.
