Brandon McKnight, who plays Chester P. Runk on The Flash has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming seventh season. At present, McKnight has appeared in three episodes during season 6 of The CW superhero show.

McKnight was introduced during the season premiere as a tech expert who accidentally opened a black hole while doing an experiment. His consciousness became entwined with the black hole until Team Flash was able to save him.

The coffee-addicted superhero fan left after some recovery time at STAR Labs then reappeared in the February 25 episode. With Cisco on his own mission to track changes made during Crisis, Chester helped save Flash from a mind meld with Gorilla Grodd.

McKnight’s previous credits include the Friends with Benefits TV show, Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water, and the horror film, I’ll Take Your Dead.
