The EXP Broadcast on Local Comic Shop Day
The EXP and ComicsPRO are collaborating on a Local Comic Shop Day broadcast titled “Giant-Sized Super Cast.” The show will be broadcast on Saturday, September 27, 2025, promoting publishers, creators, customers, and local comic shops.
Local Comic Shop Day was organized by ComicsPRO and is designed to promote the direct market in comic shops around the world. The EXP launched in 2021 with the goal of providing content that gives viewers the local comic shop experience through sales shows, entertainment, commentary, and product offerings.
The “Giant-Sized Super Cast” will air across The EXP broadcast channels with plans to start before comic shops open on the East Coast and will end when they close on the West Coast. There will be interviews, panels discussions, virtual store tours, and drop-ins at participating shops. The minimum of 18 hours of content can be streamed for free on the platforms that The EXP uses, including YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, and Facebook.
“The EXP has always had a shared purpose with ComicsPRO, to promote and strengthen the local comic shop, while providing a local comic shop like experience to those who don’t have access to a shop in their community. By joining together, we hope to connect customers to shops they may not have heard of and shops to customers who may never have an opportunity to visit in person,” The EXP Executive Producer Kyle Northrop said.
“We are so excited to be teaming up with The Experience for this year’s Local Comic Shop Day – the annual event that celebrates local comic shops and the communities they create,” ComicsPRO Vice President and Local Comic Shop Day co-chair Shannon Live said. “The Experience, with its livestream of comic themed programming, will help us spread the message that the local comic shop is a cultural hub – where creativity thrives, friendships are formed, and stories come to life.”
