You might have overlooked it, but a new printing of
Joe and Jim Simon’s The Comic Book Makers is available after years of
being out of print. Joe Simon, who solo and as part of Simon & Kirby created
or co-created not only some pretty famous characters but even certain comic book
genres, gives readers his take on all sorts of four-color history. It’s
definitely interesting reading, and Vanguard has done a great job with the
design. The book is available in hardcover, deluxe limited hardcover, and soft
cover editions.
