The Boston Comic Spectacular is back and better than ever. This year pop culture fanatics can enjoy the presence of industry superstar Ethan Van Sciver and legendary artist Murphy Anderson. The gentlemen will be featured at the Comic Book, CD/Record & Pop Culture Spectacular along with many other industry stars. 

The Green Lantern franchise for DC Comics was revitalized by Van Sciver who is also a Wizard Top Ten Artist. He began his career by creating the series, Cyberfrog, which eventually ended up on Impulse. He also illustrated comic book characters such as the X-Men, Batman, and the Justice League of America. For Van Sciver’s event appearance, the Comic Spectacular is producing a limited edition print featuring his illustration of Batman confronting his nemesis Man-Bat. 

For fifty years the legendary artist, Murphy Anderson, has been penning some of the most widely known comics of all time such as Flash, Hawkman, the Spectre, Adam Strange, Elongated Man, Atom, the Justice League of America, Batman, and Superman. 

Van Sciver and Anderson are not the only guests scheduled to appear at the show. Also on deck are Rich Woodall, David Tata, Don Higgins, Severed Head Productions, Andrew J. Lovuolo, Scott Hamilton, Richard D. Irving, Wicked Unscripted, Dark Tale Comics, Jason Casey, Peter Vinton, Sweet on Geeks, the Secret Identity podcast, and others to be announced. 

The Boston Comic Book Spectacular began in 1975 and has hosted tens of thousands of comic enthusiasts since. The show features 12,000 square feet and 130 tables of comic books and their creators, and much more. 

The event will be held Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Boston Radisson Hotel, 200 Stuart Street, 6th floor Convention Center. The comic and toy show will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The media room will open at 9:30 AM.
