#11-20)
Marvel Comics; $49.99
Back in print (finally!) on
the heels Spider-Man’s box office triumphs, this collection of Stan Lee-Steve
Ditko classics suddenly seems more incredible than ever. With appearances by Doc
Ock, Mysterio, the Hulk, Green Goblin, Kraven, Daredevil, the Human Torch, the
Ringmaster, the Scorpion, Sandman and the Enforcers, this might be the most
jam-packed era of Spidey’s existence. Great production values and always worth
the read.

One of the most eclectic magazines in comics fandom, the mission of
Hogan’s Alley is to bring a literate and lighthearted appreciation to
both vintage and contemporary cartooning in all its forms including comic
strips, comic books, animation and political cartooning. They treat comic art as
an art form, but they also try not to lose sight of what attracts people to it
in the first place: it’s fun. For an interview with Hogan’s Alley Editor
Tom Heintjes, check out this issue’s Superstars.

Hogan’s Alley is
