Terminator #10
Dynamite; $4.99
After Skynet caused a nuclear holocaust that wiped out much of humanity, some of the survivors banded together to form a resistance. This issue of Terminator is set in 2001, just a few years after Judgment Day when the resistance is still growing, but nonetheless ready for action.
A team of soldiers led by Major Duggan are planning an assault on the Terminators and a key point in their supply line. Though Duggan has nailed down their schedule and procedures for hauling materials, he and his soldiers are surprised when the Terminators unleash a powerful new weapon.
The timeline-jumping Terminator series lands close to the franchise’s apocalyptic event with another story about someone from the Duggan family. Writer Declan Shalvey has built a storyline across several time periods, that isn’t told in a linear format, but still flows smoothly from issue to issue. This issue is centered around one mission that shows that sacrifices the remaining humans are willing to make to survive and take back their world.
Artist Luke Sparrow and colorist Colin Craker bring the “war is hell” theme to life through renderings of these battle hardened men and the rubble littered streets of the ruined city.
