The new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer debuted to the delight of DC fans everywhere. The trailer dropped Wednesday night, courtesy of Ben Affleck and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

It starts off slow and easy with Clark Kent introducing himself to Bruce Wayne by asking for his thoughts on Batman. The two share a tense exchange defending the superhero of their respective cities, taking jabs at the other. Enter a pint-sized version of Lex Luthor, filled with squirrely energy.

What follows are chaotic shots of Batman and Superman fighting, interspersed with fear of the unknown shown by picketing protestors, Senate meetings, and a short exchange between Lex and Lois Lane. And then Doomsday shows up, in all his a large, grotesque monster glory. Wonder Woman joins the foray at the 2:37 mark. Finally, we get to see Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman together and ready to kick bad guy butt.

Prior to the full trailer, a scene from the film premiered during the November 30, 2015 episode of Gotham featuring an up close encounter between the popular characters, promising epic action to come.

The snippet shows Batman, arms chained to the ceiling among other men in the same position. He scowls at his surroundings when Superman flies into the dusty bunker. The special ops-looking soldiers immediately take a knee in reverence to the Man of Steel. He then marches over to the Dark Knight wearing a look of disgust and pulls Batman’s cowl off of his face.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be in theaters on March 25, 2016. The movie was directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill star as Batman and Superman, with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
