Team Chosen Face Multiple Threats in Iyanu Season 2 Teaser
Iyanu is fully committed to her role as Yorubaland’s protector in Iyanu season two. Lion Forge Entertainment dropped a teaser trailer for the animated series, previewing the rise of the People of the Deep and a new threat from Queen Adura.

The Iyanu show is adapted from Roye Okupe’s graphic novel Iyanu: Child of Wonder, which is based in Nigerian mythology, history, and culture. The story is set in the magical kingdom of Yorubaland where teenage orphan, Iyanu, is studying Yoruba history and ancient arts when she unintentionally triggers her own divine power. With her new powers, Iyanu joins fellow teens Biyi and Toye on a journey to uncover the evil hiding in her homeland. During their quest, Iyanu learns important truths about her past, present, and her destiny.
Iyanu’s powers are getting stronger and she’s feeling the pressure of being a leader in season two. Powerful ancient magic is awakening, there’s growing tension in Yorubaland, and forgotten stories from the past are back. Iyanu is back with Biyi, Ekun, Olori, and Toye – aka Team Chosen – in a battle to save Yorubaland from mounting threats.

“Season two is about responsibility, legacy and what it truly means to lead,” Okupe said. “Iyanu is no longer discovering who she is, she understands her power, and now she must decide how to use it. Introducing Queen Adura and the People of the Deep allows us to explore long-buried history and tensions that reshape Yorubaland in unexpected ways.”
Okupe is an executive producer on the series, which features the returning voice cast of Serah Johnson as Iyanu, Sam Kugbiyi as Toye, and Okey Jude as Biyi. New voice cast members include Faith Gesiere Agua as Queen Adura and David Onwubalili as Boju.
Iyanu season two arrives in the spring of 2026.
