Syfy Schedule for Comic-Con 2017

Comic-Con International: San Diego is rapidly approaching on July 20-23, 2017. With the convention just around the corner, Syfy has announced their scheduling for the annual event.

The network has teamed up with NerdHQ’s Zachary Levi to host two free to the public events. On July 20 and July 22, Syfy will take over the Children’s Museum with free parties and live performances, including a performance by The Spazmatics. Levi is also skipping his annual NerdHQ events to team with Syfy for his annual Nerd Party on the 21. These events will also include trivia trolleys, cosplay karaoke buses, cosplay repair carts and a drumline marching through Gaslamp playing your favorite theme songs.

Syfy will also be hosting a series of panels, including “The Great Debate,” which will feature a panel of experts taking on the genre’s biggest questions in a moderated discussion. The network will also panel 11 shows including the Superman prequel Krypton and returning favorites The Magicians and Battlestar Galactica. In addition to the parties and panels, Syfy will be hosting superfan-themed legal weddings, officiated by Orlando Jones.

On July 20, Syfy will host the Great Debate in Ballroom 20 from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM. This panel, moderated by John Hodgman, will include Adam Savage, Orlando Jones, Aisha Tyler, and more. Then, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, the cast of Battlestar Galactica will reunite in Ballroom 20. This includes Ron Moore, Tricia Helfer, Katee Sackhoff, Mary McDonnell, and Grace Park. A screening of Van Helsing will take place in the Indigo Ballroom at 3 PM, followed by Z Nation at 4 PM. 12 Monkeys will then be played in Room 6BCF at 7:15 PM, followed by Dark Matter at 8:15 PM in Room 6DE.

The only panel revealed for July 21, was the screening of Sharknado 5 in Room 6DE at 6:45 PM.

On July 22, Syfy will screen Krypton in the Indigo Ballroom at 1:15 PM. In Room 5AB at 2:30 PM Wynonna Earp will be played, followed by Happy at 2:45 PM in Room 6BCF. The Magicians will be screened in the Indigo Ballroom at 4 PM, followed by The Expanse at 5 PM. Ghost Wars will be screened in Room 6A at 5:30 PM, while both Channel Zero: No-End House and Blood Drive will be screened at the Horton Theatre at 8 PM and 9:30 PM, respectively.
