The CW has licensed DC Universe’s Swamp Thing to broadcast the first season of the show. If it is successful, the network could pick up the series and produce new episodes.

A premiere date was not given.

Swamp Thing was the third scripted original series on the subscription video platform. It aired in April 2019, but the original 13-episode order was reduced to 10 and then only days after it began, DC Universe cancelled the show.

This is the second DC Universe show to move to The CW, joining Stargirl, which debuts on May 19, 2020.

Swamp Thing is executive produced by James Wan, and stars Derek Mears, Crystal Reed, and Andy Bean.
