The Boys is heading toward a very bloody confrontation in the fifth and final season. Amazon Prime released a new trailer teasing what’s to come and the Supernatural reunion between show newcomer Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.

Season five picks up with Hughie (Jack Quaid), Frenchie (Tomer Capone), and Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) trapped in a “Freedom Camp.” Butcher (Karl Urban) returns with plans to use the Godolkin virus to destroy all supes and Annie (Erin Moriarty) is attempting to lead a resistance. “It’s Homelander’s (Antony Starr) world, completely subject to his erratic egomaniacal whims,” per the official description.

Misha Collins, another Supernatural star, is also joining this season of The Boys. Little is currently known about Padalecki and Collins’ roles on the superhero show. Their casting reunites them with Eric Kripke, the creator of Supernatural, and showrunner on The Boys.

This season also stars Karen Fukuhara, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The new season of The Boys will begin with a two-episode premiere on April 8, 2026, on Prime Video. After that, single episodes will drop weekly until the series finale on May 20.
