The CW has released the first trailer for Superman & Lois, which is all about the family.

“We all begin as one version of ourselves. But as we grow, life changes us,” Superman states during the opening of the trailer. The rest is focused mostly on Superman as he flies through a field of images of his family.

Based on the show’s description, Superman and Lois will thwart the baddest villains of Metropolis and “come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.” They return to Smallville and become reacquainted with Lana Lang, her husband, and their kids. While wondering if their sons will gain Clark’s abilities, a mysterious stranger enters their lives in Smallville.

Superman & Lois is the newest Arrowverse show, joining The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Batwoman. The series will star Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane. They were introduced to The CW’s Arrowverse as guest stars on Supergirl and during the crossover events “Elseworlds” and “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

The show also stars Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, and Dylan Walsh as General Sam Lane. The show premieres on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
