Superman & Lois Already Renewed for Season Two
The CW has already renewed Superman & Lois for a second season. The announcement was made after the new Arrowverse show had a record breaking premiere.
It was the most watched primetime premiere at The CW from the last two years and had their best first day of streaming debut. The show had 1.7 million views during the premiere, then picked up another one million views over the first three days of streaming.
“The phenomenal multiplatform debut of Superman & Lois, which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially in this challenging environment,” Mark Pedowitz, Chairman and CEO, The CW Network, said. “We are thrilled to now have two brand-new bona fide hits in Superman & Lois and Walker, both of which have been renewed for next season along with 11 other of our shows, further positioning us for continued strength and stability for next season.”
Superman & Lois sees Clark and Lois dealing with not only their lives as the Man of Steel and famous journalist but also the complexities of being parents. They return to Smallville to handle a family situation when they encounter Clark’s first love, Lana Lang, and their sons become friends with her daughter. Adding to that, Lois’ father General Sam Lane seeks Superman’s help with a new menace that could be a real threat to the superhero.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch reprise their roles as Clark and Lois that were originated elsewhere in the Arrowverse. Alex Garfin and Jordan Elsass play Jordan and Jonathan Kent, respectively, Emmanuelle Chriqui plays Lana Lang Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, and Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing.
The series airs on Tuesdays at 9 PM.
