Heritage’s weekly auction highlights include a new Superman costume and powers, rare high grade video games, and a Captain America splash. The Comic Books Select Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, August 17-19, 2025, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction ends on Tuesday, August 19, and the Comic Art & Illustration Auction wraps up on Wednesday, August 20.

In the comic auction, Heritage is selling Superman #123 CGC 9.8 newsstand edition, marking the debut of a new Superman with electric powers and striking blue costume. The Amazing Spider-Man #252 CGC 9.8 Signature Series Brett Breeding and Jim Shooter newsstand edition has the first appearance of Spider-Man’s black costume.

The video game auction includes Lemmings 2: The Tribes VGA 95 sealed for Sega Genesis is the highest graded copy out of only seven graded by VGA. Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul WATA 9.4 for Game Boy Advance is a rare sealed example because the games were packaged with three Prismatic Secret Rare cards.

The original art auction is led by the Captain America #698 splash page 20 and second printing cover by Chris Samnee featuring a bold, cinematic image of Captain America standing amid rubble. The Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Comics Magazine #2 story page 13 is packed with Silver Age charm as artist Erik Larsen embodies Jack Kirby’s style.
