Geppi’s Entertainment’s current Hake’s Americana auction boasts many impressive, rare collectibles. Lots from all over the country, through decades of history are ready for your collection!

Within each auction at Hake’s are vast numbers of comic book related collectibles. Comic books, toys, action figures, dolls, premiums, buttons, and more are offered. In this auction, #195, they have a rare 1940 Superman contest prize ring. This is the first Superman ring ever issued by DC Comics promoting early issues of Superman and Action Comics. Only 1,600 were awarded, though it is possible that others were used in candy and bread promotions. The example for sale is one of only twenty known examples and is in the top eight for its condition. The center image shows Superman breaking chains, surrounded by the text, “Supermen of American Member.”
