Sunday: Edward James Olmos Added to LA Show

The Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention has added Battlestar Galactica’s Edward James Olmos for their Sunday, August 17, 2014 show. He will appear from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to sign autographs.

Among the guests previously announced are Caity Lotz, who has played as Sara Lance-Black Canary on The CW’s Arrow. Fans of Ren and Stimpy will get a chance to meet series creator John Kricfalusi, and in celebration of the 45th Anniversary of Vampirella, original Warren Vampirella model Barbara Leigh will also be there.

In addition to appearing on the show Arrow, Caity Lotz other credits include starring in the dance film Battle of the Year opposite Josh Holloway (Lost) and the Science Fiction film The Machine where she garnered rave reviews for her performance and has received a nomination for “Most Promising Newcomer” in the British independent Film Award. 

John Kricfalusi, the creator of famed animated series Ren and Stimpy and The Ripping Friends will return to the show for an encore appearance to do more character and caricature sketches as well as sign autographs from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Barbara Leigh is best known as the original Vampirella model. She appeared in costume on many covers during the Warren years of Vampirella. As an actor she has starred in movies such as Junior Bonner with Steve McQueen and Pretty Maids All in a Row. She will be signing autographs from 11:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.

The show runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center, 700 West 32nd Street, in Los Angeles, across the street from the University of Southern California.
