Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 Renewed for Second Season
The Hawkins Investigators Club will tackle another case. Netflix has announced that Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 has been renewed for season two. The first season ended by teasing another mystery in town, and the brave middle schoolers will try to solve it in the fall of 2026.
The show arrived on Netflix on April 23, 2026, debuting in the No. 7 spot on their list of Top 10 shows, which likely accounts for the quick renewal and streaming date.
According to Tales from ’85 showrunner Eric Robles, the dangers they’ll face in each season of the show are linked. “We’re thrilled to return to the winter of ’85 for season 2,” Robles said. “The Hawkins Investigators Club is back, and a new paranormal threat has emerged from the town’s abandoned silver mines. I can’t wait for fans to discover where this entity and the mysterious blue flower we last saw blooming in the Upside Down at the end of Season 1 take our young heroes.”

Robles is an executive producer on the series, alongside Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer and Hilary Leavitt for Upside Down Pictures, Shawn Levy at 21 Laps, and Dan Cohen. Flying Bark Productions (What If…?) handles the animation on the series.
The show features the voice talents of Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Luca Diaz as Mike, Benjamin Plessala as Will, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Elisha Williams as Lucas, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Odessa A’zion as new character Nikki, Brett Gipson as Jim Hopper, Janeane Garofalo as Anna Baxter, and Lou Diamond Phillips as Daniel Fischer.

“Working on season 1 has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Now that it’s out in the world, seeing fans connect with these characters – whether they’ve loved them for years or are just meeting them for the first time – has been truly special. I’m excited to continue the journey,” Robles said.
In the meantime, fans can collect Tales from ’85 swag via Funko and McDonald’s. Funko is selling Pops! of Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, and Max, as well as their new punk-inventor friend, Nikki. McDonald’s has Happy Meals with 12 character toys, an activity book, and a QR code for an interactive game, all in a box inspired by the show.
