Stranger Things Actor Meets Parks & Rec Doppelgänger
Ever since Stranger Things premiered on Netflix, the internet has been overflowing with memes and posts about actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the show, and Ben Schwartz, Parks and Recreation‘s Jean-Ralphio Saperstein. The similarities between these two actors, from the wild hair to their facial expressions, is uncanny.
Some fans even went so far as to create an impressive theory connecting the two characters. According to some online posts, Steve is actually Jean-Ralphio’s father. After surviving the harrowing events of Stranger Things, Steve fathered Jean Ralphio. Unfortunately, something happened to Steve (possibly a Demogordon attack) that opened the way for Dr. Saperstein to adopt Jean-Ralphio and take him to Pawnee. Given that both shows take place in Indiana and the two look strikingly similar, this theory spread like wildfire. Schwartz himself previously addressed the rumor, but things have gone to a new (stranger) level.
The two recently spent a solid morning together shaving, wearing matching outfits and taking embarrassing family photos. All in all, the pair looked to be enjoying a nice day of father and son shenanigans. Schwartz shared all the bonding moments on his Instagram, sending the internet into a tailspin.
Stranger Things season two has already begun filming, though no release date has been scheduled yet.
