Geppi Family Enterprises Chairman & CEO Steve Geppi turned his attention from the business side of comics to the fun side when he was a guest on FatMan Beyond – a video podcast hosted by filmmaker Kevin Smith and prolific TV, film, and comics writer and editor Marc Bernardin.

Exploring the farthest reaches of fandom, the podcast has welcomed numerous stars from comics, television and film into its studio to talk about all things geek and pop culture. Geppi opened the conversation by talking about restarting comic distribution on May 20, 2020. He pointed out that this would be done in a way that does not overload the market with new product and that Diamond Comic Distributors would work with publishers and retailers to set realistic expectations on orders based on their adjusted needs.

In talking about how comic book shops are like the “club house,” Geppi stated that he expects the comeback to be robust as readers crave new material. He also recalled when he started reading comics again, as an adult, and the nostalgia of finding comics and how that never ends.
