Baltimore, Maryland is an ever growing city, preserving history while expanding new opportunities for its dwellers and visitors. Last Friday a new branch of the Hilton Hotel opened downtown.

It has been designated as the convention center hotel of Baltimore and is located directly in front of Camden Yards. The location is so prime that you can actually see games from the hotel rooms with balconies, along with some others, and Camden Station can be seen from the second floor.

In attendance celebrating the opening was Geppi’s Entertainment Publishing & Auctions owner and CEO Steve Geppi. Also visiting the hotel for the ribbon cutting ceremony was Julia Ruth Stevens, daughter of baseball legend Babe Ruth. She has been recognized as the hotel’s first guest and was presented with a plaque commemorating her visit.
