As we mentioned in our coverage of the Diamond Comic Distributors – Alliance Game Distributors Retailer Summit back in October, Dark Horse Comics announced that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic would be coming to an end with #50.

Now we’ve reached that stage where the saga of Zayne Carrick, the Padawan-turned-undercover-and-unexpected-hero is about to conclude; the final issue is listed in the December Previews catalog.

Writer John Jackson Miller has promised fans who have been along for the whole ride that there will be some amazing payoffs, including secrets he’s planted in more or less plain view all along.

The final, 40-page issue is set to go on sale February 17, 2010.
