Sony Provides New Look at Monster Hunter
Sony has debuted two new posters for their upcoming Monster Hunter film, a live-action adaptation of Capcom’s popular video game series of the same name. The two posters provide new looks at Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa, both sporting examples of the franchise’s signature large weapons.
The film is set to focus on Captain Natalie Artemis (Jovovich), a member of a United Nations military team who falls through a portal to an alternate world in which Hunters battle against powerful, dangerous and huge monsters. The U.N. team must work alongside the Hunters to help close the portal before the monsters can make their way to Earth.
Monster Hunter is being directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who has experienced previous commercial success in video game to film adaptations with the Resident Evil movies. Monster Hunter is currently slated for a September 4, 2020 release.
