Skybound Reveals Ghost Pepper Variant Covers on New Story Arc
Before Ghost Pepper’s second story arc hits comic shops, Skybound and Image Comics are providing the first look at the lineup of variant covers. The series by creator/writer/artist Ludo Lullabi (Transformers) and colorist Adriana Lucas (Destro) follows forgotten heroes, food trucks, and saving the world. Ghost Pepper #6 arrives in comic shops in December 2025.
The new arc sees the debut of artist Frédéric Pham Chuong’s themed variant cover series. The action figure themed variants depict the characters as they would appear encased in classic figure packaging. The action figure covers will be 1:10 incentive variants on Ghost Pepper #6-12.
“Ghost Pepper has been a dream project both in helping Ludo Lullabi execute his amazing idea but also in fan and retailer reception,” Executive Editor Ben Abernathy said. “This series has really struck a chord with a lot of people and has been a monthly standout on the sales chart. So, thank you to everyone who have supported us through the first five issues, and we’re excited to hear what you think of our epic second arc!”
“Ghost Pepper introduced readers to a reality where humanity survived a monstrous threat, but the world isn’t better for everyone. Every day Loloi hits the road to deliver her delicious cooking to the masses, outsmarting her treacherous competition and staying one step ahead of the massive robots ‘protecting’ them all. But everything changes when she serves a mysterious warrior named Ash, whose secrets might just save the world…if his superhuman strength doesn’t destroy it first,” per the synopsis.
The second story arc starts with Loloi taking Ash to her home village where a corrupt mayor and his augmented henchmen have taken over.
In addition to Chuong’s action figure covers, Ghost Pepper will feature a main cover by Lullabi, an open to order variant cover by Carmine di Giandomenico (Absolute Superman), a 1:25 incentive variant by Patricia Martin (Secret Weapons), a 1:50 incentive variant by new artist Pepper, and a blank sketch cover.
Ghost Pepper #6 kicks off the second story arc and will be in comic book stores on December 17.
