Lisa Snart, aka Golden Glider, is a DC supervillain, younger sister of Captain Cold, and a member of the Rogues who loves to challenge the Flash. She is a master figure skater, uses experimental skates, and invents jewel-themed weapons and gadgets in her endless pursuit to defeat the Flash.

She was created by Cary Bates and Irv Novick who introduced her in The Flash #250 (June 1977). Before becoming a supervillain, Lisa was training as a figure skater and was being secretly coached by her lover, The Top. The arrangement ended abruptly when the Top, another villain, went up against the Flash and died in the battle. Lisa was filled with rage and wanted revenge on the hero.

She created ice skates that produce their own ice flow to skate on, developed jewels that could be explosives and hypnotic devices, she created a costume, and became the Golden Glider. Now operating as a supervillain, she joined the Rogues to steal things for their own gain, and she tried to destroy the Flash for his part in the Top’s death.

Her goals changed slightly after Barry Allen died. Golden Glider retired from stealing and other crimes to become a mercenary with her brother. Returning to a life of crime, she started working with various partners that she would arm with a replica of her brother’s cold gun and called them Chillblaine. Unfortunately, she hired the wrong partner, and he killed her. Flash was able to stop him from taking Keystone City ransom, then Captain Cold killed him for murdering his sister.

When the New 52 rebooted the DC universe, Golden Glider was alive and now had metahuman abilities like flight, enhanced speed, and the power to make ribbon-like tendrils. Glider recruited Weather Wizard, Heat Wave, Mirror Master, and Trickster to form the new version of the Rogues. Eventually, Captain Cold joins the group and they stopped Gorilla Grodd from one of his schemes, so the government pardoned them for their past crimes.

In a battle of the baddies, the Rogues went up against the Secret Society of Super Villains and the Royal Flush Gang. Later the Rogues tried to steal a golden statue of Mercury but were thwarted by the Flash… again.
